Dahl admits to being an SBhifi 'victim' since the 1970's. A keen
Hi-fi buff even at school, he and fellow buff, Carlo may have even
skipped the odd class to visit 53 Lt Ryrie St. (Apart from playing
Lincoln Mayorga every hour, we were the only
Hi-fi store in Geelong to have a speaker comparator)
Dahl
actually worked with
Steve, Carlo and Craig in 1982. (A great way to buy esoteric equipment such as
a Linn Sondek LP12 at cost). Dahl then moved to Qld and worked in a premium
Hi-fi Store in Brisbane.
Finding life a little too
easy Dahl then successfully convinced Tivoli Hi-fi to take him on in Melbourne. (
It is rumoured that owner Philippe was overseas and Carlo was in charge that
week. Apparently the resultant court case is all but settled now).
Dahl fooled management there to not only support him for 18 years, but to make
him general manager for the last 13 years.
Unfortunately Dahl was spotted in a sober state at work one day and
the secret was out!! Fearing the company would expect this quality of performance every day, Dahl
once again made himself available to us here in Geelong.
After passing a strict medical (we certainly wouldn't want that
going around again), we are honoured to have enjoyed Dahl's expertise and
good humour for the last few years.
Dahl has been our 'Sales Manager of the year' 3 years running, which is a
credit to just how understanding the Geelong public are.
